Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of team nursing on the risk of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and patient satisfaction in patients with fracture of lower limb. Methods Total 118 cases of fracture of lower limb in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between January, 2015 and December, 2015 were enrolled and randomly divided into routine group and treatment group with 59 cases in each group. The patients in the routine group received routine nursing, while the patients in the treatment group were managed with team nursing. After the nursing intervention, the risk of DVT and patient satisfaction compared between the two groups. The t-test and Chi-square test were performed by using SPSS 21.0 statistical software. Results The risk assessment rate of thrombosis, early detection rate of ultrasound and abnormal rate of D-dimer screening in treatment group was 74.58% (44/59), 76.27% (45/59) and 93.22% (55/59), respectively, which was significantly higher than those in the routine group[(44.07% (26/59), 45.76% (27/59) and 30.51% (18/59)]. The rate of thrombosis in the treatment group was 1.69& (1/59), which was significantly lower than that in the routine group (13.56%, 8/59). The patient satisfaction in the treatment group was 98.31%, which was significantly higher than that of the routine group (88.14%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The team nursing management in patients with fracture of lower limb can improve the positive rate of various indicators for DVT early detecting, reduce the incidence of DVT, shorten the length of hospital stay and improve patient satisfaction.
