Strengthen the general practice education and training and promote the team construction of general practitioner——The practice and thinking of general practice education training in Anhui province

  • Objective Team construction of general practitioner is one of the important content of deepening medical reform and improving hierarchical medical system. The aim of the paper is to summarize and analyze the practice of general practice education and training in Anhui province, and put forward experience references and policy suggestions for the team construction of general practitioner. Methods We reviewed the main policy, basic situation and problems for the education and training of general practice in Anhui province. Results The main problems in general practice education and training included:not obvious effect; lower training quality; delayed practice system of general practitioners; low registration rate and high turnover rate in qualified certificate personnel; low proportion of standardized training, number of applicants and admission score; insufficient policy-propaganda; lack of incentives, poor participation initiative, and so on. The main problems in general practitioner team construction included:lack of quantity and lower quality of general practitioners; lower level of social support and generally accepted by colleagues in their industry; disregard on the establishment and staffing of department because of the lack of understanding about the general practice; not perfect excitation and protection mechanism for general practitioners and unattractive jobs; difficult implementation and non-ideal result for family doctor contract service and hierarchical medical system. Conclusion The following measures should be performed to strengthen the training and team construction of general practitioner:strengthening the organization and leadership;promoting practice registration; strengthening standard training; paying more attentions to discipline construction;strengthening publicity and guidance.
