  • Objective To explore the prevention and treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection in children. Methods A total of 240 children with recurrent respiratory tract infection in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2016 were selected and divided into the treatment group (120 cases) and the control group (120 cases) according to the random number table. The routine treatment and nursing care according to the "Clinical Concept and Management Principle of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infection" was performed in all patients, while the patients in the treatment group additionally wore influenza prevention fragrant bag. The total effective rate, frequency of upper and lower respiratory tract infection per year, duration of each course, time between each episode of two groups were compared between the two groups. The effect of influenza prevention fragrant bag was evaluated. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group were higher than that of the control group (88.3% vs. 77.5%), the difference was statistical significance (P<0.05). The frequency of upper and lower respiratory tract infection per year of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistical significance [ (2.0±0.4, 1.8±0.6) vs. (3.2±1.3, 2.5±1.8) ] (all P<0.05). The duration of each course in the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group (1.7±0.3 vs. 2.1±0.4), and the time between each episode was longer than that in the control group (4.8±0.6 vs. 3.9±1.0), the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion Influenza prevention fragrant bag can improve the total effective rate of children with recurrent respiratory infections, prevent recurrence of respiratory infections.
