  • Objective To explore the effect of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation on dysphagia after stroke. Methods Total 64 patients with post-stroke dysphagia admitted to Fuyang People's Hospital from January 2017 to October 2019 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group. Patients in the control group were treated with neuromuscular electrical stimulation. On the basis of the control group, the patients in the experimental group were treated with Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture. Both groups were treated for two courses for a total of 8 weeks. After the treatment, the treatment efficiency of the two groups was compared. The changes in the standard swallowing assessment scale(SSA) before and after treatment and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Neurological Deficit Rating Scale(NIHSS) were observed. Results The effective rate of the experimental group was 93.75%, significantly higher than that of the control group 71.88%(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the pre-treatment scores of SSA scale and NIHSS scale between the two groups(all P>0.05). After treatment, the SSA scale and NIHSS scale scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).The scores of the experimental group SSA scale and NIHSS scale were lower than the control group at 8 weeks after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation on dysphagia after stroke is significant, and the clinical symptoms of patients with dysphagia are improved.
