    Abstract
  •   Objective  To analyze the effect of bio-wave acupoint stimulation combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) emotional nursing on the depressive status, quality of life and rehabilitation compliance in patients with post-stroke depression.  Methods  A convenience sampling method was used to select 120 patients with post-stroke depression (PSD) admitted to Shaoxing People' s Hospital from June 2020 to May 2022 as the research objects, and the patients were divided into control group (60 cases) and observation group (60 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received bio-wave acupoint stimulation combined with TCM emotional nursing. The Hamilton depression scale (HAMD), modified barthel index (MBI), stroke specific quality of life scale (SS-QOL) and rehabilitation compliance scale were used to evaluate the two groups of patients before the intervention and at the first, second and third weeks after the intervention.  Results  After the intervention, the HAMD scores of patients in both groups were lower than that before intervention, and the HAMD scores in the observation groups were (22.52±1.87) points, (15.16±2.62) points and (10.24±1.78) points at the first, second, and third weeks after intervention, respectively, which were lower than in the control group [(24.16±2.64) points, (19.22±2.97) points, (15.34±2.13) points, all P < 0.05]; The MBI and SS-QOL scores in both groups were higher than those before the intervention, and the MBI and SS-QOL scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks after the intervention (all P < 0.05); The rehabilitation compliance in the observation group was 96.7% (58/60), which was better than that in the control group [83.3% (50/60), P < 0.05].  Conclusion  Bio-wave acupoint stimulation combined with TCM emotional nursing can effectively reduce depression in patients with post-stroke depression, improve their daily life and ability, quality of life and rehabilitation compliance.
