Objective To investigate the clinical effect of strengthening psychological support for patients with acute respiratory disease.
Methods Total 112 cases of patients with severe respiratory disease in our hospital between August 2013 and March 2014 were selected as study subject. All patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each group 56 cases. The patients in the control group were given basic nursing, while the patients in the observation group were given strengthening psychological support nursing based on basic nursing. Before and after the nursing,PaO
2,PaCO
2,respiratory rate and heart rate indicators of both groups were observed.
Results After the treatment,PaO
2 levels of both groups were significantly increased, the difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05),and PaO
2 level of the observation group[(93.1±11.2)mm Hg] was significantly higher than that of the control group[(82.4±9.8) mm Hg],the difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05);After the treatment,PaCO
2,respiratory rate and heart rate of both group were significantly reduced, the differences were statistically significant(
P<0.05),and PaCO
2,respiratory rate and heart rate of the observation group[(57.3±7.6) mm Hg,(20.1±3.5)beats/min,(87.5±8.2)beats/min] were significantly lower than that of the control group[(66.4±7.4)mm Hg,(23.7±3.7)beat/min,(95.1±9.4)beat/min],the differences were statistically significant (
P<0.05).
Conclusion For patients with severe respiratory diseases,on the base of close attention on disease progression and implemention of basic nursing, the strengthening psychological support nursing can effectively enhance the confidence to overcome the disease and promote better recovery.
