Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of filiform needle acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
Methods Between February 2014 and April 2015,80 cases of lumbar disc herniation in our department were randomly divided into treatment group(41 cases) and control group(39 cases). The treatment group was given filiform needle acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy simultaneously, while the control group was given conventional acupuncture. After 2 periods of treatment, the effective rate and JOA scores before and after treatment in both groups were analyzed statistically. The measurement data were compared with t test, two proportions was compared using χ
2 Test.
Results Before the treatment, the JOA score of the treatment group was (17.17±2.11) and of the control group was (16.76±2.72);after 2 periods of treatment, were (23.95±2.75) and (21.82±3.14) in the two groups, respectively. The JOA scores were significantly increased in the treatment group after the treatment and significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05).The clinical effective rate of the treatment group was 92.68%,better than that of control group(76.92%),and the difference between of two groups was statistically significant(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Filiform needle acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is easy to observe, with low cost, little pain and satisfied clinical curative effect. It is a new method for the effective treatment of lumbar disc herniation, and worthy of clinical promotion and research.
