Objective To describe the trend and characteristic of two week prevalence and morbidity Rate of chronic diseases in China from 1998 to 2013,so as to provide the basis for the policy making.
Methods The descriptive analysis and linear regression analysis were conducted to study the health-related data from 1998 to 2013 in China.
Results The survey results showed an overall upward trend in two weeks prevalence and morbidity rate of chronic diseases among the samples.The rise of chronic diseases in China mainly includes two aspects. One is the influence of population aging due to the increase in life expectancy and the age structure of the population from the “adult” to “old” sharp transition.This leaded to the rising of morbidity rate of age-related diseases.
Conclusion Based on the above analysis,some suggestions are put forward:①The government should increase health the investment in medical and public health services and improve rural medical level,reduce the gap between urban and rural residents.②According to the current hygienic status in China,some elements with urban and rural characteristics,such as rural community health services focusing on the prevention and treatment of respiratory system and digestive system diseases,dissemination of good eating habits and control of tobacco should be added;The urban community health service should pay more attentions to the diet control and three controls.③To further promote chronic disease prevention and control.
