Objective To study the clinical effect of personalized orthopedic bone plates in the treatment of complex fractures of tibia and provide reference for the clinical treatment.
Methods A total of 64 cases ofmulti-part complex fractures of tibiabetween March 2010 and March 2014 in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups.The study group(30 patients) received the internal fixation with the custom personalized plates made by computer digital technology,while the control group(34 patients) received the traditional fixation.After the treatment,the clinical effect was observed and compared between the two groups.
Results The assessment for the average amount of bleeding,operation time,hospitalization time and healing times in the study group was significantly better than the control group,and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant(
t=7.731,8.257,8.965,7.665,all
P<0.05).The total efficiency in the study group was 91.1% and in the control group was 100%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (
u=8.765,
P<0.05),which revealed that the custom personalized plates made by computer digital technology could achieve better therapeutic efficacy.
Conclusion The custom personalized plates are appropriate for the multi-part complex fractures of tibia with a better effect and less complications.The patients can recover in a short period.It is worthy to be popularized in clinical.
