Objective To explore the influence of management methods for HR-HPV infection on the outcome in middle-aged and older women(age between 45 and 70).
Methods Total 66 cases of female patients with positive HR-HPV in our hospital from January 2012 to April 2014 were selected and grouped. There were 23 cases received HR-HPV combined with TCT(followed up group),21 cases received HR-HPV combined with EC(EC group),and 22 cases received HR-HPV combined with TCT and policresulen vaginal suppository(treating group).Theoutcomes were followed up and compared after 6,12 and 24 months. And the value of TCT and EC was compared.
Results There was no significant difference in the outcomes among the three groups(
P>0.05).For the diagnosis of cervical lesions ≥CIN Ⅰ,the sensitivity of TCT examination was 75%(3/4),the specificity was 95.12%(39/41),the positivive predicted valur was 60%(3/5)and the negative predicted value was 97.5%(39/40),the sensitivity of EC examination was 50%(1/2),the specificity was 94.73%(18/19),the positive predicted value was 50%(1/2)and the negative predicted value was 94.73%(18/19).There was no significant difference among these indexes between those two methods(P>0.05).The result of TCT examination was relatively consistent with the histopathological result(kappa=0.6303),as well as EC examination(kappa=0.447 5).
Conclusion HR-HPV combined with TCT can be used in the folloow up for of HR-HPV infection in middle-aged and old women, and EC should be the most inexpensive and effective management method if necessary.
