Objective By discussing the significance and problems in carrying out this training policy,to advance and improve training and education mode of rural order-directed tuition-free general medical students,and explore a possible solution.
Methods The social benefit since the implementation of training policies was analyzed. The problems existing in the standard of the training,management and stimulation,employment and following up training policy were discussed.Combining the result of revolution,the urgent problems and approaches were concluded.
Results It is quite clear that this policy is a national and people benefiting action,improving basic medical treatment and public health level,remitting the difficulty and high cost of getting medical treatment,especially in western areas. During the carrying out of the policy,it appears that medical school lack of autonomy of enrolling students,standards and management of general medical education is not complete,local government lack of policy and action on these kinds of medical students,great national restriction and lack of human resource in western areas,need great simulation of attracting excellent medical students.
Conclusion In order to keep promoting the policy,it is necessary to complete the system of training and stimulation,such as enrolling students,admission,education,employment,standardized training etc,to strengthen the education of professional ideal and quality,to clarify and give full play to government responsibility at all levels,to further improve the policy environment of recruiting,job welfare,position evaluating,following education and examination and management,to expand the coverage of order-directed general medical students receiving free education appropriately and carry out the training of order-directed general medical students receiving free education with local needs,to build variety levels of general medical education system,to start an experimental work of education master and doctor etc.
