Objective To investigate the surgery cooperation for minimally invasive treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fracture in the old by using type Ⅲ Gamma pin.
Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data was carried out in 24 patients with elderly femoral intertrochanteric fracture after treating by type Ⅲ Gamma pin between June,2014 and June,2015 in our hospital. All patients' clinical data in surgery cooperation were summarized including preoperative nursing, intra-operative cooperation and post-operative cooperation.
Results All 24 patients have got stable vital signs during the operation. The duration of operation was 40-70 minutes, mean time (56.5±7.8) minutes. The intra-operative bleeding was 40-100 ml,(72.6±18.4) ml in average. No complications, such as acute cerebral infraction, pulmonary embolism, and vascular nerve injuries, were found during the operation.Post-operative follow-up was 5-12 months,(8.2±1.6) months in average. The healed time of fracture was 3-4 months,(3.4±0.5) months in average.Harris score was 75-92 points at the last follow-up,(83.4±4.7) points in average. The good rate was 83.3%.No incision infection, internal fixation failure complications were reported.
Conclusion As an intramedullary fixation device, type Ⅲ Gamma pin meets the minimally invasive surgery concept. It is easy and simple to handle, with technology standardization, routinization, less operation time, little bleeding,as well as realized the biomechanical stability.Circulating nurses shall be skilled in orthopedic traction table and know how to use the C-arm.Instrument nurses shall know how to use the type Ⅲ gamma pin-related instruments as well as the operation procedure.Closely cooperated operation is necessary for a successful surgery.
