Curative effect of montmorillonite powder combined with racecadotril granules on viral enteritis in children

Objective To investigate the curative effect of montmorillonite powder combined with racecadotril granules on viral enteritis in children. Methods A total of 105 children with viral enteritis in Shaoxing People's Hospital from January,2015 to January,2016 were collected and divided into group A,B and C with 35 people in each group.The three groups of children were given relevant treatment,while group A received montmorillonite powder providing appropriate dose according to the age;group B received racecadotril granules,taking each dose of the drug per kilogram in accordance with 1.5 mg body weight;group C received montmorillonite powder and racecadotril granules,the dose was the same as that of group A and group B.The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the three groups. Results The total effective rate in group C was 100.00%,which was significantly higher than that of group A and group B,88.57% and 85.71%,respectively and the difference had statistical difference (χ²=5.10,P<0.01),The antiemetic time,fever clearance time,recovery time of defecation traits back to normal,recovery time of defecation frequency back to normal were shorter than those in the other two groups,with a statistical difference (P<0.01).After treatment,the levels of AST、CK、CK-MB、LDH in three groups were significantly lower than those before the treatment (P<0.01).Between the 3 groups,the decline of AST,CK,CK-MB,LDH in group C was more significant than those in the other two groups,and the difference was significant (P<0.05).No severe adverse reactions were found during the treatment. Conclusion Montmorillonite powder combined with racecadotril is better than the other single medication groups and found no adverse reactions,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
