Objective To investigate the effect of care bundle on the fall event in the elderly patients in Department of respiration, and survey the satisfaction of patients to care bundle intervention.
Methods Total 108 elderly patients stayed in the respiratory department of our hospital between January,2015 and January,2016 were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 54 cases in each group (equal proportion). The control group received the routine nursing, while the observation group received additional care bundle. The incidence of fall events and nursing service satisfaction were compared between the two groups. All the data were analyzed with SPSS 17.0.
Results Falling down event of observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (
P<0.05).The mean score for communication between nurses and patients, health education, nursing procedures, detailed service and functional exercise in the observation group were 9.35±0.64,9.37±0.52,9.41±0.57,9.32±0.47 and9.40±0.54,respectively,and in the control group were 8.26±1.04,8.29±0.98,8.61±1.01,8.84±0.92 and 8.70±1.02,respectively,the difference in the nursing satisfaction of patients between the two groups was statistical significant (
