Objective To investigate the applying values of positive reinforcement theory of nursing in the cervical spine orthopedic rehabilitation patients to provide reference for the popularization and application of positive reinforcement theory.
Methods A total of 1 500 postoperative cervical spondylosis rehabilitation patients registered in our hospital from August,2013 to July,2015 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 750 cases in each group. The control group received conventional intervention, while the observation group was added the positive reinforcement theory of nursing. The rehabilitation observation periods were two weeks, and the prognosis of recovery was observed.
Results The pain scores of the two groups after rehabilitation were (1.22±0.34) points and (2.86±0.45) points (
P<0.05) which were significantly lower than the (6.89±0.26) points and (6.91±0.45) points before rehabilitation;the activities of daily living scores in the observation group and control group after rehabilitation were (69.44±9.13) points and (62.42±9.14) points (
P<0.05) that were significantly higher than before rehabilitation of (57.24±8.44) points and (57.94±9.41) points.Meanwhile, the comparison between two groups were all statistically significant (
P<0.05).The total effective rates in the observation group and the control group after rehabilitation were 97.3% and 84.0% respectively that the observation group were significantly were higher (
P<0.05).
Conclusion Positive reinforcement theory of rehabilitation care in the patient's cervical spine orthopedic applications can effectively relieve the patient's pain and improve daily living skills, promote the improvement of the cervical range of motion, and thus help to improve the overall efficacy.
