Impact of social relational quality on early posttraumatic stress disorder among young and middle aged patient with first stroke

  • Objective To investigate the degree and influencing factors of social relational quality and early posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among young and middle aged patient with first stroke,and to provide the different communities evidence for improving the quality of life of patients after discharge. Methods From January to December in 2015,total 226 young and middle aged patient with first stroke in Zhejiang province people's hospital were investigated by the social relational quality scale (SRQS) and PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version.A database of survey questionnaire was established with SPSS 16.0 software was used for date management and analysis,and then the multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of early posttraumatic stress disorder. Results The scores of PTSD was 58.08±12.47,and 43.36%(98 cases) of patients with first stroke was positive.There was negative correlation between PTSD and social relational quality,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The income,BI index,family intimacy,family commitment and friend relationship were the main influencing factors for PTSD (P<0.01). Conclusion The early PTSD is negatively correlated with the social relational quality among the young and middle aged patient with first stroke.The higher level of social relational quality will lower PTSD.The family intimacy,family commitment and friend relationship should be paid more attention during the intervention to reduce the level of early PTSD after the discharge.
