Objective To investigate the effect of pain education on postoperative pain control in urological patients.
Methods From February,2015 to June,2016,120 patients undergoing urological surgery were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table.Two groups of patients were treated by the same group of medical staff.The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care,and the patients in the observation group were treated with routine nursing and combined with pain teaching.The visual acuity scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the postoperative pain degree of the two groups.The comfortable comfort degree scale developed by Kolcaba in the United States was used to evaluate the comfort degree of the two groups.The postoperative recovery and the postoperative recovery of the two groups were observed with Pain pump number of times to evaluate the two groups of patients with care satisfaction.
Results The VAS scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those of the control group at each time point (
P<0.05).The scores evaluating patients'comfort degree at 24 hours after the operation in observation group were lower than those in the control group (
P<0.05).The time of getting out of bed,postoperative eating time and hospital stay were shorter in the observation group than those in the control group,and the number of times of pressing pump within 48 hours after operation was significantly lower than that of the control group (
P<0.05).The total satisfaction degree of the observation group was 100.00%,significantly higher than the control group 80.00%(χ
2=13.33,
P<0.05).
Conclusion The use of pain teaching to reduce the pain of urological patients has a significant role in improving comfort degree,shortening the postoperative recovery time and improving care satisfaction,which is worthy of clinical application.
