A comparative study of combination therapy with Shexiang Baoxin pill and simvastatin and simvastatin alone on coronary artery disease with hyperlipidemia

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Shexiang Baoxin pill combined with simvastatin on coronary artery disease with hyperlipidemia,and compare with simvastatin alone. Methods Total 192 cases of coronary heart disease with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into two groups by random number method with 96 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were given simvastatin,while the patients in the observation group received additional Shexiang Baoxin pill.Before and after the treatment,the lipid levels (TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C),cardiac function parameters (LVEF,CO,CI,LVEDD),blood viscosity indicators (HBV,LBV,MBV,PV,FIB),endothelin-1(ET-1) of both groups were tested,and the clinical effects of the two groups were observed. Results After the treatment,TC,TG,LDL-C levels of the two groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05),and HDL-C levels were significantly increased (P<0.05);and before and after treatment,the levels of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C levels of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).After the treatment,LVEF,CO and CI of both groups were significantly increased (P<0.05),and LVEDD levels were significantly decreased (P<0.05);and before and after the treatment,changes of LVEF,CO,CI,LVEDD levels of the observation group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05).After the treatment,HBV,LBV,MBV,PV,FIB levels of the two groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05);and before and after the treatment,the changes of HBV,LBV,MBV,PV,FIB levels of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).After the treatment,ET-1 levels of the two groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05),and before and after the treatment,the change of ET-1 level of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.8%,significantly higher than 86.5% of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Shexiang Baoxin pill combined with simvastatin is effective on coronary artery disease with hyperlipidemia through improve the condition of blood lipid,cardiac function and blood rheology parameters.The clinical effect of Shexiang Baoxin pill combined with simvastatin was better than that of simvastatin alone.
