Objective To investigate the application values of standardized communication for the cardiovascular disease patients in the intensive care unit.
Methods Ninety-two cardiovascular disease patients in the intensive care unit of Huzhou Central Hospital from August,2012 to February,2015 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 46 cases in each group.Patients in control group were given conventional nursing of CCU,and patients in treatment group were added SBAR communication system based on control group.Patients in two groups were nursed for 14 d,then the depression score changes, complications incidence, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were recorded.
Results After treatment and nursing, the depression scores of two groups were significantly improved, compared to those before treatment (treatment group:6.44±1.67 vs.20.44±1.87;control group:10.49±1.89 vs.20.33±2.09),and the differences were statistically significant (
P<0.05).The treatment group (6.44±1.67) was more significantly improved compared to that of the control group (10.49±1.89),with a statistical difference (
P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of treatment group were higher than that of control group (100.0% vs.84.8%),and the differences were statistically significant (
P<0.05).
Conclusion Standardized communication for the cardiovascular disease patients in the intensive care unit could help to alleviate depression symptoms, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events, promote nurse-patient relationship, and improve nursing service satisfaction.
