Objective To investigate the clinical effect of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) assisted percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and heart failure.
Methods Eighty cases of AMI with and heart failure in our hospital between January,2013 and August,2016 were selected as the research object, and were divided into two groups by single-blind randomized method (
n=40).The patients in control group received the interventional therapy, while the patients in the observation group received the balloon pump-assisted coronary intervention. The clinical total effective rate, cardiac blood flow recovery, hemodynamics and NT-proBNP of both groups were accounted, and the date were analyzed by statistical software to investigate the clinical effect of balloon pump-assisted coronary intervention in AMI patients with heart failure.
Results The clinical total effective rate in the observation group was 90%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group (70.00%,
P<0.05).The proportion of level 3 TIMI blood of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (
P<0.05).The LVEF and SV of the two group were significantly increased,LVEF and SV of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (
P<0.05);The NT-proBNP of the two group were significantly decreased, and NT-proBNP of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (
P<0.05).
Conclusion Based on interventional therapy,intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation therapy could effectively improve heart function and hemodynamics of AMI patients with heart failure, which is conducive to improvement of the prognosis.
