Objective To investigate the clinical significance of capsule endoscopy in early diagnosis and treatment of precancerous lesions in gastric mucosa.
Methods Total 140 cases of suspicious precancerous lesions in gastric mucosa in our hospital between September,2012 and January,2016 were enrolled into this study. The capsule endoscopy and magnifying endoscopy were performed in all patients, and the results were compared with the pathological examination.
Results All patients were completed the inspection, the average detecting times in the capsule endoscopy were (478.24±45.22) min which the average stomach time were (49.24±22.12) min;the average duration of magnifying endoscopy detecting were (75.24±19.21) min; There were no any discomfort complaint in the capsule endoscopy detecting, while there were 9 patients were with adverse reactions in the magnifying endoscopy, all adverse reactions after symptomatic treatment were improved.Capsule endoscopy detected 108 patients of gastric precancerous lesions, the detection rate was 77.1%;and magnifying endoscopy detected 111 patients, the detection rate was 79.3%,there were no statistically significant in the detection rates between the two groups(
P> 0.05);And the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of capsule endoscopy for gastric precancerous lesions were 98.2% and 100.0%,respectively,while the magnifying endoscopy were 96.7% and 100.0%,respectively,the difference was not significant(
P>0.05).
Conclusion Capsule endoscopy for the early diagnosis and treatment of precancerous lesions in gastric mucosa is convenient and simple, with low impact on the body, relatively high detection rate, and better qualitative diagnostic sensitivity and specificity, which has good clinical values.
