Objective To understand the intention and influencing factors of the practitioner registration in the transfer training for general practitioners in Yunnan province, and to make some suggestions for improving the registration intention of the general practitioner in this group, and to provide reference for the relevant departments to promote the construction of the grassroots doctors team.
Methods To adopt stratified cluster sampling method, 300 cases of primary medical and health workers in 6 counties of Yunnan Province participated in the training of general practitioners for the purpose of investigation, using self-designed questionnaire and interview outline to carry out on-the-spot investigation, including normal situation, the intention of practicing registration, influencing factors, etc, using general statistical description, χ
2 test, Non-conditional Logistic regression analysis and other methods for data analysis.
Results The students who participated in the training of general practitioners in Yunnan province accounted for 41.5% of the titles. And 29.8% of the trainee trainees are willing to register as general practitioners. The reasons of registration are accordingly to become general practitioner, job appointment needs, competent administrative departments, and so on; 70.2% of the trainees are unwilling to register as general practitioner. The primary reason is not to reach the general practitioner registration conditions, others, no confidence in the career development of general practitioners. The results of non-conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that the factors affecting the willingness of the practitioner to register for the transfer training of general practitioners had the qualifications of practicing, and the problems of poor living conditions such as inadequate wages, low salary, shabby working conditions and housing were met in the basic medical and health work.
Conclusion It is necessary to strengthen the career guidance of the trainees in the transfer training, improve the conditions of career development, improve the career development and living environment of the local doctors, and further improve the selection mechanism of the trainees.
