Objective Stroke is a kind of senile diseases with high morbidity in our country. Due to cognitive, diet, swallowing, exercise and other factors, seniors with constipation caused increasing concern of society and family. This article discusses the application of Shenque and Hegu Acupoint massage in the prevention of constipation in senile stroke patients.
Methods We selected 64 senile stroke patients admitted to the first Encephalopathy Division in Lu'an Chinese Medicine hospital from January 2016 to May 2017, and randomly divided them into control group and observation group. In the control group, the routine nursing intervention was adopted, and the patients in the observation group were given a Shenque and Hegu acupoint massage on the basis of routine nursing intervention. The first defecation time of the two groups of patients was compared.
Results On the first day, there were respectively 4 patients (12.50%) and 11 patients (34.37%) defecated in the control group and observation group. The observation group's first defecation time was significantly earlier than that of the control group, via the SPSS 17.0 software for statistical analysis and χ

P<0.05).
Conclusion The Shenque combined with Hegu acupoint can effectively prevent the occurrence of constipation in senile stroke patients, which is of great clinical significance to alleviate the suffering of patients and reduce the harm caused by constipation, which is worth popularizing and widely used in clinic.
