Objective To observe and summarize the effects of nursing intervention on venous thromboembolism(VTE) after orthopaedics major operation.
Methods From January 2010 to January 2013,176 patients which were cured in hospital were randomly divided into two groups(using randomized digital table):the group of nursing intervention (the experimental group) and the group of routine nursing care (control group) which were given the different nurses. The general condition, limb length and deep vein thrombosis were compared and analyzed among groups.
Results All patients were followed up at least 6 months after the operation.Nursing intervention group of deep vein thrombosis rate(8/95) is significantly lower than the control group(25/81).Circle length in nursing intervention group were significantly better than that in control group.
Conclusion The nursing intervention can play a significant role in the preventing of venous thromboembolism which should be further promoted and used in clinical work.
