Objective To investigate the condition of hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis C virus(HCV),human immunodeficiency virus(HIV),treponema pallidum(TP) and TORCH infection in pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy from Qingdao district,so as to guide the clinical health education propaganda for couples of child-bearing age.
Methods The serum samples of pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy in obstetric outpatient department of Qingdao Women & Children's Hospital from Jan. 2013 to Dec. 2014 were collected. The serum markers for HBV(HBsAg,HBsAb,HBeAg,HBeAb,HBcAb),HCV(HCV-cAg,HCV-Ab),HIV[HIV(1/2)-Ab] and TP(TP-Ab) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and TORCH-IgM were detected by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.
Results The infection rate of the infectious pathogens in pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy were high, including 3.961% of positive rate for HBsAg,0.055% for HCV-Ab,0.000% for HIV-Ab,0.585% for TP-Ab and 9.194% of total positive rate for TORCH-IgM.Furthermore,positive rates for TP and TORCH in pregnant women with advanced age were drastically higher than those with appropriate age and significant differences were found in the positive rates for HBsAg,CMV-IgM and HSV(1/2)-IgM among the different seasons.
Conclusion The infection rate in pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy is high. The health education propaganda for couples of child-bearing age should be strengthened, and the screening of HBV,HCV,HIV,TP and TORCH infection both before and during pregnancy should be further popularized for better prenatal and postnatal care.
