Obesity is one of the serious problems that threaten the health of modern people.With the improvement of people's living standard,the incidence rate of obesity has been significantly increased in recent years,the number of morbid obesity has also increased.According to the 2014 statistics of WHO,obesity was threatening the health of about 13% of total population in the world,obesity has become a serious public health problem.In China,according to China's nutrition and health status survey in 2002,the obesity accounted for 7.1% of the total population,ten years later that number had been increased to 11.9%.As the development of surgical techniques,a new method to treat obesity is founded-surgical treatment for obesity,surgical treatment is the only way to cause stable and steady weight loss.It is internationally recognized that surgery is obviously effective in the treatment of obesity,bariatric surgery not only can loss weight,but also has therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of many metabolic diseases,which has caused a great attention of the physicians and surgeons.With the development of minimally invasive surgery,laparoscopic surgery is widely used in bariatric surgery,laparoscopic surgery has become the preferred way of weight loss surgery.Currently,there are four common surgical options,they are laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB),laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB),laparoscopic biliopancreatic diversion (LBPD) and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG).In this article,we mainly reviewed the present research advancement of surgical treatment for obesity.
