  • Objective To investigate the application values of ABC analysis management model in the operating room nursing management. Methods From September,2012 to September,2013,884 patients in our hospital were divided into treatment group (444 cases) and control group (440 cases) accorded to a random number table. The control group received the traditional nursing management, while the observation group was given the ABC analysis management model. Results The qualified rate of basic nursing and nursing documents in the observation group were 99.8% and 99.5%,which were higher than 92.6% and 92.1% in the control group. The nosocomial infection incidence in the observation group was 0.7% which was lower than that (7.2%) in the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).The discharge survey showed that the patients satisfaction (score) with professional and technical (98.45±4.08),nursing process (98.87±3.13) nursing cognition (95.34±3.98) scores were higher than those (90.34±3.78,88.93±4.10,85.03±3.34) in the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05);The score for ward environment was 95.34±3.12 in the observation group and 94.09±4.00 in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Three month follow-up showed that the score for physiological (18.18±4.00),psychology (22.57±3.18),social (19.30±3.10) and environment (12.88±2.45) in the observation group were higher than those (16.88±4.04,17.88±3.20,16.00±2.99,10.85±2.36) in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion ABC analysis in the operating room nursing management can effectively improve the quality of care and patients'satisfaction, thus improve the quality of life of patients.
