Current situation and thinking of general practitioners' multi-sited practice under the new medical reform in China

Objective In order to promote the rational flow of general practitioners(GP) and advance the implementation of multi-sited practice,this paper aims to put forward some suggestions and countermeasures for improving the GP multi-sited practice. Methods Based on the SWOT(strengths;weaknesses;opportunities;threats) analysis method and comparison of domestic and foreign general practitioner practice systems,this paper analyzes the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of GP multi-sited practice under the new medical reform in China,and then formulates corresponding countermeasures. Results Most of the foreign GP can be free to practice and multi-sited practice.In most developed countries and regions,the employment of GP is mainly based on self employment.GP in China are mostly employees of public institutions.The main advantages of the implementation of GP multi-sited practice are that it can better promote the rational flow of general practitioners,to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of general practitioners and help improve the development and management ability of primary hospital.The disadvantages of the implementation of GP multi-sited practice includes the lack of manpower which makes it hard to sustain and no medical risk guarantee and perfect supporting system.On the basis of overcoming the disadvantages,grasping the opportunity and avoiding the threat by analysis,the article puts forward some countermeasures for the development of GP multi-sited practice. Conclusion By means of SWOT scientific analysis,GP multi-sited practice advantages and disadvantages coexist.Establish a legal and institutional environment for GP multi-sited practice,strengthen hospital internal management,reform the personnel distribution system in medical institutions,and eliminate all kinds of medical resources allocation imbalance within the system,so as to effectively mobilize the GP's advantages of multi-sited practice,seize the opportunity and achieve remarkable results in GP multi-sited practice under the new medical reform.
