Objective To investigate the effects of family nursing on depression, life quality and serum estradiol, progesterone and serotonin of postpartum depression patients.
Methods A total of 138 cases of postpartum depression patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 69 cases in each group. The control group was given routine care and the observation group was given family care. The depression(EPDS score),life quality(GQOLI-74 score),serum estradiol, serum progesterone and serum serotonin levels of two groups were compared.
Results Before nursing, the EPDS and GQOLI-74 scores of two groups had no significant differences(
P>0.05);after nursing, the EPDS score of two groups was significantly reduced(
P<0.05),and the EPDS score of observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(
P<0.05).The body function dimension, social function dimension and psychological function dimension of two groups were significantly increased(
P<0.05),and each indicator score of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(
P<0.05).Before nursing, the estradiol, progesterone and serotonin levels of two groups had no significant difference(
P>0.05);after nursing, the estradiol levels of two groups were significantly increased(
P<0.05),and estradiol levels of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(
P<0.05);after nursing, the progesterone levels of two groups were significantly reduced(
P<0.05),and progesterone level of observation group was significantly lower than that control group(
P<0.05);after nursing, the serotonin levels of two groups were significantly increased(
P<0.05),and serotonin levels of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Family nursing could improve the depressive status and life quality of postpartum depression patients and improve the estrogen and neurotransmitter levels.
