  • Objective To observe the effects of integrated traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) nursing intervention on continuous chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV) in patients with malignant tumors. Methods Seventy patients with malignant tumors who underwent continuous chemotherapy in Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from June 2017 to December 2018 were randomly divided into control group(35 cases) and observation group(35 cases). The control group were given routine nursing in Oncology Department and routine prevention of CINV, while the observation group were given integrated TCM nursing on the basis of control group. The occurrence of CINV, compliance of chemotherapy, Chinese version of Positive and Negative Affect Schedule(PANAS) scores, quality of life-core questionnaire(QLQ-C30) assessment results and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of CINV in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(45.71% vs 71.43%), and CINV in the observation group was milder than that in the control group(P<0.05). The compliance of chemotherapy in the observation group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.05). After intervention, the positive emotion score of PANAS scale in the observation group [(24.12±4.68) points] was significantly higher than that in the control group [(17.23±4.26) points, P<0.05], while the negative emotion score [(35.75±4.86) points] was significantly lower than that in control group [(40.25±4.64) points, P<0.05]. The assessment results of QLQ-C30 scale of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Integrated TCM nursing intervention can significantly reduce the occurrence of CINV in patients with malignant tumors undergoing chemotherapy, improve the patient's compliance of chemotherapy, psychological status and quality of life.
