    Abstract
  •   Objective  To evaluate the effect of exercise rehabilitation nursing intervention on improving cardiac function, exercise condition, and knowledge-attitude-practice level in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).  Methods  A total of 94 patients with AMI who underwent PCI in Hangzhou Ninth People' s Hospital from April 2023 to January 2025 were selected. According to rehabilitation nursing intervention methods, the patients were classified into an observation group (routine rehabilitation nursing and exercise rehabilitation nursing intervention, n=48) and a control group (routine rehabilitation nursing intervention, n=46). The cardiac function indexes [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular global longitudinal strain (GLS), stroke volume (SV)], exercise behavior [6-minute walking distance, international physical activity questionnaire-short-form (IPAQ-SF)], knowledge-attitude-practice level (knowledge-attitude-practice assessment scale for patients with acute myocardial infarction), and incidence rates of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) were compared between groups.  Results  At 3 months after discharge, the observation group showed significantly higher LVEF [(58.19±5.42)% vs. (55.84±5.18)%], SV [(57.96±10.45) mL vs. (53.14±11.63) mL], and GLS (-14.22±2.63 vs. -12.87± 3.12) compared to control group (t=2.147, 2.115, 2.272, all P < 0.05). The pre- and post-intervention changes in LVEF, GLS, and SV in the observation group were also greater in the observation group (P < 0.05). The 6-min walking distance and IPAQ-SF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The observation group showed higher scores of dimensions of knowledge-attitude-practice assessment scale (P < 0.05). Improvements in IPAQ-SF, 6-minute walking distance, and scores of dimensions of knowledge-attitude-practice assessment scale in the observation group before and after intervention were greater than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the overall incidence rate of MACE between groups (P>0.05).  Conclusion  The implementation of exercise rehabilitation nursing intervention for patients with AMI after PCI can effectively improve cardiac function, exercise behavior, and knowledge-attitude-practice level without increasing the risk of MACE.
