Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect of rhodiola glucoside in patients with acute cerebral infarction in plateau areas.
Methods Sixty cases of acute cerebral infarction from plateau areas were randomly divided into two groups trial group(
n=30) and control group(
n=30).The patients in the trial group were given conventional treatment and big bead rhodiola injection,while the patients in the control group were given conventional treatment.The serum levels of Superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),oxidized low density lipoprotein(OX-LDL) and matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) were detected before the treatment and 10 days after the treatment.
Results After the treatment,as compared with the control group,the level of SOD increased obviously[(97.19±8.68) vs. (89.90±9.48) Nu/ml] in the trial group;but the levels of MDA[(6.88±1.95) vs. (8.36±2.98) nmol/ml]、OX-LDL[(29.20±8.99) vs. (38.19±8.55) μg/dl] and MMP-2[(20.00±8.04) vs. (25.70±8.24) μg/dl] decreased significantly,the difference between the two groups was statistical significant (
P<0.05).
Conclusion The rhodiola injection is effective for patients with acute cerebral infarction in plateau areas throughupregulating the expression of SOD and downregulating the expression of MDA,OX-LDL and MMP-2,thereby improve the antioxidant and inhibit atherosclerosis.
