Objective To study the incidence of pulmonary infection and correlation with deep venous thrombosis in elderly stroke patients, and provide basis for prevention of complication in elderly stroke patients.
Methods By adopting the method of retrospective study, clinical data of elderly stroke patients were collected, and the patients were followed for months.Incidence and correlation of pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis were analyzed and compared among groups, and correlation of pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis was analyzed.Stoke patients were grouped by complication morbidity, and prognosis situation of groups were compared.
Results In 6-month follow-up period,of 145 elderly stroke patients,36(24.8%) complicated with pulmonary infection, and 27(18.6%) complicated with deep venous thrombosis, and 13(9.0%) complicated with pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis.Incidence of complication of study group was higher than control group, and difference was statistically significant(
P<0.05).There was no significant difference of complication incidence between genders, and complication incidence of Ischemic stroke was higher than hemorrhagic stroke. There was correlation between pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis(
P<0.05,
r=0.258).There was significant difference of Poor prognosis rate of different complication groups(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Incidence of pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis was high, and there was positive correlation synergy to deteriorate prognosis between pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis.Intervening measures should be taken to reduce risk of complication, and improve prognosis of elderly stroke patients.
