Objective To investigate the correlation of the clinical features with T cell subsets in patients with acute herpes zoster.
Methods The clinical data of 82 patients with acute herpes zoster in Taizhou Enze Medical Center Bridge Hospital from January,2014 to December,2015 were reviewed.Flow cytometry was used to detect peripheral blood CD4
+T cells,CD8
+T cells and CD3
+T cell ratio, and the ratio of CD4 and CD8 was calculated.
Results The herpes zoster condition score, the area of redness, pain, the number of blisters, the number of blisters clusters of patients aged 60 or over was not statistically different from patients less than 60 years of age (
P>0.05).The CD8
+% and CD3
+% of patients aged 60 or over with herpes zoster were lower than that of patients less than 60 years of age (
P<0.05),the CD4/CD8 of patients aged 60 or over with herpes zoster was higher than that of patients less than 60 years of age (
P<0.05).The condition score, area of erythema, pain, number of blisters, number of blisters clusters in severe herpes zoster patients were higher than those in mild to moderate patients (
P<0.05).The CD3
+% of severe herpes zoster patients was higher than that in mild to moderate patients (
P<0.05),the CD4
+%,CD8
+% and CD4/CD8 in severe herpes zoster patients were no significant difference with mild to moderate patients (
P>0.05).CD4
+% was linear correlation with blisters time and blisters cluster number of acute herpes zoster (
P<0.05),CD8
+% was linear correlation with pain time, blisters parts, blisters time and blisters cluster number of acute herpes zoster (
P<0.05),CD3
+% as linear correlation with pain time, parts of blisters, time of blisters, condition score, blisters clusters number and blisters number of acute herpes zoster (
P<0.05),CD4/CD8 was linear correlation with age, blisters time, erythema area of acute herpes zoster (
P<0.05).
Conclusion The clinical features of acute herpes zoster are closely related with T cell subsets.
