Objective To investigate the efficacy of TCM Qingre Sanjie therapy combined with pantoprazole sodium and mosapride citrate in the treatment of chronic pharyngitis with gastroesophageal reflux.
Methods Two hundred and fifty-two cases of chronic pharyngitis and gastroesophageal reflux in the hospital from December,2015 to December,2016 were randomly divided into two groups, with 126 cases in each group. The control group received mosapride citrate tablets and pantoprazole sodium capsules, while the observation group was administrated with TCM Qingre Sanjie therapy based on control group. After the treatment, the symptoms(acid reflux, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, throat foreign body sensation) scores, gastrointestinal hormones[serum gastrin(GAS),plasma motilin(MTL)],airway inflammation[nitric oxide(NO),endothelin-1(EP-1)],clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared.
Results After the treatment, the symptoms of two groups were significantly decreased(
P<0.05),and symptoms levels of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(
P<0.05).After the treatment,GAS and MTL levels of both groups were significantly increased(
P<0.05),and GAS and MTL levels of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(
P<0.05).After the treatment, the NO and EP-1 levels of both groups were significantly decreased(
P<0.05),and NO and EP-1 levels of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(
P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 89.68%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(75.40%),
P<0.05.There was no significant difference on adverse reactions between the two groups(
P>0.05).
Conclusion TCM Qingre Sanjie therapy combined with pantoprazole sodium and mosapride citrate could effectively improve gastrointestinal hormones and airway inflammation, and alleviate the clinical symptoms of chronic pharyngitis with gastroesophageal reflux patients, with satisfactory treatment results.
