Objective To observe the fractional exhaled nitricoxide (Fe NO) level of elderly asthma and its relationship with bronchial asthma severity treatment effect.
Methods Ninety cases of elderly patients with bronchial asthma were selected as observation group and 45 cases of healthy as control group from January,2014 to June,2016 in Taizhou hospital.The observation group patients were divided into acute exacerbation group and remission group;and were divided into level 1,level 2 and level 3 according to FEV1%.The remission group patients were divided into hormone therapy group and non-hormone therapy group according to whether hormone therapy.Fe NO levels in both groups were measured.
Results The FEV1% of acute exacerbation group was lower than that of remission group and control group (
P<0.05);the Fe NO of acute exacerbation group was higher than that of remission group and control group (
P<0.05),the Fe NO of remission group was higher than that of control group (
P<0.05).The Fe NO of non-hormone therapy group was higher than that of hormone therapy group and control group (
P<0.05),the Fe NO of hormone therapy group was higher than that of control group (
P<0.05).The Fe NO of level 1 group was higher than that of level 2 group and level 3 group (
P<0.05),the difference of Fe NO between level 2 group and level 3 group was no statistical significance (
P>0.05).The Fe NO was negative correlation with FEV1% in acute exacerbation elderly asthma patients (
r=-0.441,
P=0.008);the Fe NO was no correlation with FEV1% in remission elderly asthma patients (r=0.151,P=0.425).
Conclusion In patients with acute elderly asthma attack,Fe NO levels elevates,FEV1% declines,Fe NO was negative correlation with FEV1%.Fe NO level is related to severity of the disease and treatment effect.
